 - 1 teaspoon salt
 - 4 teaspoons baking powder

 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
 - 1 cup milk
 - 1/2 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
 - 1 large egg
 - 1/4 cup additional shredded cheese for topping
 
Instructions:
- Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9x5 inch loaf pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
 - In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and garlic powder if you're adding that delicious garlic twist.
 - Add in the shredded cheese, ensuring it's well-coated with the flour mixture to prevent it from sinking in the batter.
 - In a separate bowl, combine the milk, vegetable oil, or melted butter, and egg.
